- My most vivid memories during my Templestay at Hwaunsa were Luke and the tea ceremony/talk with Seon-il Sunim. Yes (I was comfortable) even in wintertime. I think everybody in Seoul gave us a look saying: "Are you guys crazy?! Going to a templestay in Winter?!" :) Thanks for having us here. It was very nice and I really enjoyed the calm surrounding.
- My most vivid memories during my Templestay at Hwaunsa were Luke the cat & the story about his father, salt mandala, possibility to meet and drink tea with the head of the temple (Seonil-Il Sunim), the food was very good & the room very comfy. I felt very peaceful and nice during my stay. Hwaunsa people are great and very warm-hearted people. I liked that everything was voluntary. You are all doing a great job. I really liked the atmosphere and that we were told about the history of the temple, cultural knowledge, Buddhist rituals, and personal stories also. I loved it that we could go out for a walk with the dogs and explore the environment. Next time I want to come in summertime. I wish you all the best!
- The tea ceremony and the meditation at the meditation hall were my most vivid memories during my Templestay at Hwaunsa. For 2 days and 1 night it seems to be perfectly arranged, so no, I wouldn't change anything. You do a great job and I'm happy that you give us the chance to earn this experience. Keep it on!
